Cast iron caster wheels should only be utilized when floor protection is not a concern and heavy loads are required. Sharp impacts are withstood by its high strength. Cast iron wheels shouldn’t be used if there is a lot of noise (they will make noise when rolling on a hard floor) or if the loads are delicate (hard cast iron can’t absorb the shocking while rolling, so it can damage the fragile goods on it).
